Principal's Message

I, Rev. Fr. Paul Thannickal took charge of my duty as Principal of St. Peter’s college, and institution with 167 years of history. I take this opportunity to place on record my gratefulness to all the parents and guardians for their wholehearted cooperation extended to Fr. John Ferreira, my predecessor. I look forward to the same co-operation and support from all of you.

Education is the backbone of society and St. Peter’s College is the backbone of Agra. Education transforms society and plays a predominant role in forming the character of children making them responsible citizens. Education serves four purposes namely, acquiring knowledge, inculcating values, maintaining discipline and developing human potentialities. Knowledge alone cannot transform students. Only when knowledge is juxtaposed with values and discipline, students can develop their human potentialities.

We know that you have entrusted your children to our care with the hope that we, besides imparting true knowledge, would help them in moulding their character and grooming them to be disciplined in life. With your support and encouragement, we shall strive to help your children to become physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually strong and matured to face the challenges of life besides making them responsible citizen of our country. A concerted effort from the part of parents and students is necessary to realise this mission.

I am sure that you have already received the circular (No. SPC11/2013-14). You are requested to go through it and follow the guidelines given in it.

I request you all to contribute your mite and co-operate with us in preparing your wards to be mentally, physically and spiritually strong to face the challenges of life.
